The Heart

The Bible says the heart is the most deceiving thing above all. So, should we follow it?
We all have those moments when life as we knew it stops making sense. When something shifts, and suddenly we're forced to look inward. For some, it's a loss. For others, a disappointment. Sometimes it's just... time.
Five months ago, I decided to step back from the noise. I opened a portal I didn't know existed, one filled with memories I thought I'd forgotten, patterns I'd been ignoring, parts of myself I didn't recognize.
At first, there were tears. Triggers I couldn't control. But also epiphanies. I started seeing life as a game with rules, and the good news? You can restart as many times as you need until you figure it out.
I learned that knowing something mentally isn't the same as living it practically. Theory ≠ practice. We all know this, but applying it? That's the challenge. And baby steps count.
The subconscious mind stores everything in codes: trauma, joy, fear, love. Your body reacts to situations based on what's buried there, even when those reactions no longer serve you.
The key? Slowly, carefully, and free from judgment. Remind yourself: You are safe. It's okay. You got this.
What I'm learning is that inner work isn't about becoming someone new. It's about noticing when the old code is running and choosing differently, even once.
Some days, I catch it in time. Other days I don't. Both teach me something.
This season has shown me that discernment matters more than emotion. That listening to the heart doesn't mean obeying it blindly but understanding it patiently.
I don't have a formula yet. Just a growing awareness, and the willingness to stay with it.
For now, that's enough.
